Harumi Chono (蝶野 晴美, Chōno Harumi) is a young woman employed as a researcher at a university, as well as Yuichi Taira's tutor.
Appearance[]
Harumi has short, brown hair that is slightly curved at the tips. Her glasses are white with pink lenses, while her usual outfit is a green dress. She also wears blue earrings and a necklace.
Unlike Maria, she doesn't wear makeup.
Personality[]
Harumi is a typically quiet and reserved young woman, but she becomes her alter ego at night. Harumi fears letting others know about Maria, as evident with her husband and her interrogation with the police. She is also shown to be great with kids due to her day job as a tutor. Harumi even comes to Yuichi Taira's birthday party, making her the only guest besides his mother.

- The name Harumi means "clear weather" (晴) (haru) and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
- Harumi's surname Chono means "butterfly" (蝶) (cho) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).
Trivia[]
- Harumi suffers from dissociative identity disorder and her alter is a sex worker named Maria.
- As dissociative identity disorder only manifests from trauma in the past, Harumi more than likely suffered from an incident that made her repress any desire to be beautiful or sexualized. Which explains why Maria dresses up and is, well, in a carnal-related profession.
- Harumi more than llikely does have nights where Maria doesn't manifest; given she has to sleep at some point, and Maria wouldn't stay over at a client's home due to Harumi's day job.
